Automobiles in Germany's City Discovered Marked with Swastikas in Blood, Police Confirm

Authorities reported they were contacted by a individual who found a vehicle in Hanau smeared with red-colored fluid

Approximately fifty automobiles have been marked with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the German city of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, police confirm authorities.

Cars, building surfaces and postboxes were defaced, sometimes with prohibited symbols, they announced in a release.

Police state they were alerted in the late hours on Wednesday night, when a man discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish substance.

The liquid had been applied in the pattern of a banned symbol, they added.

Police then found many other marked vehicles and house walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

These symbols are illegal in Germany under legislation outlawing the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.

Officials report early analysis indicate the fluid was probably human bodily fluid.

"There is still no clue as to its source; officials are currently not aware of any injuries in relation with the incident," they commented.

Municipal representatives announced they were working "to solve the mystery" and have requested to the public for tips.

A high-ranking official commented the attack made him stunned and needed to be resolved rapidly.

"This event strikes at the core of Hanau and revives the trauma of the right-wing attack in 2020," he stated on a platform, referring to the murder of nine victims by a shooter focusing on residents of foreign heritage in five years prior.
